Situated on the slopes of Cape Town’s Table Mountain, Blues Fencing Club is one of the leading fencing clubs in Southern Africa. The club is home to members of the national team, nationally competitive fencers, social fencers and new entrants to the sport. Blues has a relationship with a number of international equipment manufacturers and suppliers to provide everything from entry-level to Olympic-level. Suppliers include Tecrima, Negrini, Escrime Diffusion and Allstar. Blues also sources equipment from Leon Paul. A Cape Town-based agent keeps a supply of the most popular fencing blades, including BF, Vinti and Leon Paul.

We recommend starting by buying a complete weapon, glove, and plastron (a protective vest worn under the jacket) which are the most personal items of your fencing kit. If you want to spend a little more, we recommend your own mask.

Start with those items and add the clothing as you need it. In the interim our adult members can use Blues jackets and masks free of charge.
